Pre-Purchase Surveys

The most detailed and comprehensive survey to ensure your investment. Condition and overall operation, to include structural integrity, out of water inspection, sea trial, electrical, propulsion and fuel systems, navigation, machinery and other on board systems, and overall maintenance as well as cosmetic appearance.

Insurance Surveys

Banks and insurance companies often want a survey by an independent third part to determine whether the vessel being financed or insured is in sound condition and properly maintained. In short, is it an acceptable risk? The survey will address whether the vessel is fit for the intended use, and what is the fair market value and replacement cost. The extent of this survey will depend on the requirements of the insurance company or financial institution and may or may not be a full C & V survey.

Damage Surveys

Damage surveys determine the extent of the damage, recommend and provide a cost evaluation of possible repairs and determine probable cause if required.

Appraisal Surveys

Also called a Condition and Valuation Survey, these types of surveys are meant to gather information on the vessel to calculate fair market value. This is a valuation survey only, intended for the purposes of financing, estate settlements, donations and legal cases.

Cargo and Tonnage Surveys

Cargo and Tonnage Marine Surveys are specialized inspections performed to verify the quantity, condition, handling, loading, unloading, and documentation of cargo carried by ships, barges, trucks, railcars, or storage facilities. These surveys are commonly used in international trade, shipping, insurance, and commercial transactions.
